Ambassador Denny Abdi delivered a keynote speech at the Plenary Session 1 of the 45th Annual Conference of the Federation of ASEAN Economic Associations (FAEA) in Hanoi (25/11). Chaired by Dr. Muhammad Edhie Purnawan, Chairman of International Affairs of the Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI), Plenary Session 1 discussed Economic Recovery and Growth after the Covid-19 Pandemic as its central theme.
In his speech, Amb Denny highlighted that collaboration is crucial for a comprehensive and sustainable recovery amidst the increased uncertainties of the global situation.
He stressed that the three significant meetings of ASEAN, G20, and APEC last month reflected the heightened role of ASEAN in promoting collaboration to find sustainable solutions to various challenges. Through these different but interconnected Leaders' meetings, ASEAN is at the center and leading the post-pandemic regional and global recovery efforts.
Concluding his speech, Ambassador Denny emphasized that "it is time for ASEAN to build on these achievements... It is now time for ASEAN to become the Epicentrum of Growth."
