The 23rd ISEI Plenary Session addressed the topic of Advancing Indonesia.

09 September 2023

The ISEI XXIII Plenary Session will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 in Bengkulu Province, according to Perry Warjiyo, Governor of Bank Indonesia and General Chair of the Indonesian Economic Scholars Association (ISEI).

The role of ISEI in strengthening synergies for resilience and economic revival toward an advanced Indonesia was the topic discussed during the plenary session.

This was conveyed at the Pre-ISEI XXIII Plenary Session and National Seminar Press Conference in 2023 which was held offline at the Bank Indonesia Office on Friday (08/09).

Three important points were made during the press conference.

First, ISEI is dedicated to ensuring the success of the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session by bringing together ISEI administrators from all around the area (consisting of 51 active branches), relevant policymakers, and well-known individuals in their disciplines.

Second, the activities of the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session are believed to have an impact on the transformation of the regional economy because they highlight a number of benefits and strategic elements of the province of Bengkulu as the host, beginning with educational, sociocultural, and tourism elements.

In addition to analyzing ISEI's work program, this action will have an impact on the government's public policy, according to Governor Perry.

The spirit of cooperation to inspire academics, researchers at universities, and the society to address diverse difficulties of national economic recovery and transformation was the message that was ultimately conveyed.

This takes the shape of involvement in national seminar activities and conferences with calls for papers that are a part of the ISEI Plenary Session series this year.

The series of events at the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session, including presentations of policy recommendations from the Public Policy Study Book (KKP) 4.0 and reports from ISEI organizations or branches regarding the evaluation of work programs, the recruitment of new members, ISEI financial reports, and the publication of the results of the ISEI Index Survey regarding economic indicators.

The KKP 4.0 Book's theme is "The Role of ISEI in Building Synergies for Resilience and Economic Recovery Towards an Advanced Indonesia," which is also the theme of the plenary session.

The implementation of the 2023 ISEI National Seminar with the same theme as the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session will also invite speakers from the government and business actors, including the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, the Deputy for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, and the President Director OVO.
